Privacy first — designed for parents
Privacy Policy
Last Updated: December 14, 2025
Introduction
North Pole Hotline ("we," "our," or "us") is designed for parents and guardians to use with their children. This policy explains what information is collected, how it’s used, and your choices.
Information We Collect
Optional information you may provide to personalize calls:
- Parent/guardian names
- Children’s first names and ages
- Recent “nice” deed
- Wishlist items
- Microphone audio during calls (real-time only)
How We Use Your Information
The information you provide is used only to personalize the live conversation with Santa. You can disable sharing at any time in Parent Settings; calls will still work in a generic mode.
Third-Party Service (Vapi)
We use Vapi, a third-party voice AI provider, to enable the real-time conversation. During a call, the optional details you’ve entered and the microphone audio are sent to Vapi for live processing only. We do not use this data for advertising or analytics, and we do not store it on our servers. Vapi’s processing is limited to providing the call.
Data Storage
Names, ages, wishlist, and deeds you enter are stored locally on your device. You can clear them in Parent Settings or by removing the app. We do not create user accounts or store this data on our servers.
Microphone Access
The microphone is used only during calls so Santa can hear you. Audio is transmitted in real time and not recorded or stored by us.
Children’s Privacy
- We collect only what’s needed for the call, optionally provided by a parent/guardian.
- No advertising or analytics use.
- No sharing beyond the Vapi service required to complete the call.
- Parental consent is required before using the app.
Your Choices
- Use the app with no personalization (generic call).
- Review and clear data in Parent Settings at any time.
- Revoke microphone access via your device settings.
